Abstract

Finite element and boundary element based vibro-acousticmodeling and analysis is done for a bottom half fuselage model and a full sized transport aircraft fuselage. Vibroacousticsimulationsoftware is used to validate the experimental results of half fuselage model where Sound Pressure Levels(SPL) are found with and without the Noise Control Treatment(NCT). Vibro-acoustic simulation results are in good accordance with the experimental results. Near field propeller noise of the aircraft is estimated using appropriate method. A 14 seater civil aircraft structure is analyzed in the same way for the estimated propeller noise to study the vibro-acoustic behavior and SPL inside the fuselage with and without NCT applied on fuselage skin.
