Plagiarism can be prevented if it can be detected by the instructors or authorities in an easy way. One such way is to purchase the anti-plagiarism software. Turnitin.com is commercial software available for this purpose. This paper discusses about the role of librarians in detecting plagiarism using Turnitin.com software at Manipal University. An attempt is made to describe the software
