Abstract

The increase in vehicle traffic has increased accidents. Sometimes vehicles may have to be parked away from working provinces. There are chances of theft of vehicles. Monitoring and managing mobile assets (vehicles) are the core functions of every individual or any company dealing with the services, delivery or transport vehicles. Technologies help in supporting these functionalities from remote locations and update the managers with the latest information of their mobile assets. For optimal utilization of the mobile assets, it is required to collect and analyze the information of the assets when they are operational. In the proposed work an effort is made regarding security of the vehicle. It may be in avoiding accidents by knowing the status when the user is using the vehicle. It can also be used for tracking of the vehicle when the vehicle is been stolen. Vehicle tracking and accident monitoring is done using a microcontroller, GPS and GSM modules.
