Abstract

Due to the increasingly competitive environment, many construction companies are becoming more serious, narrowing their focus and becoming experts in certain type of construction. This specialization requires more focus on modern day project management techniques which prove to be better for certain tasks. Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM), a resource driven scheduling technique widely used in the manufacturing sector as an important project management tool. Now a days it is being implemented by the construction sector also. The paper discusses the intent of CCPM, either client oriented or contractor oriented. The effects on client and contractor after the implementation of CCPM are also debated
