Abstract

Introduction:The public views the nurse as knowledgeable,‘one of us’, worthy of respect, trustful, concerned for others, honest, caring, confidential, friendly and hardworking.Objective:Was to find the reliability of the tool designed to capture nursing aptitude among nurses.Method and Material:Four point Guttman scale was developed and administered among nurses of a selected teaching hospital.Results:The reliability of the tool was 0.52.Conclusion: There is scope for refinement of the tool as there was no difference found between nurses’ abilities.
