Libraries have always adopted themselves and experimented with new technology developments to provide better services to their users. From automation of housekeeping services or shifting of traditional services into IT enabled form; libraries have tried and tested all information and communication technologies to improve their services. The mobile technology can provide fast, personalized and up to date information services to library users. This paper presents an outline of the various services, which can be provided by libraries using the mobile technology and the prerequisites to application of mobile services in library. Today as mobile has become one of the necessity of life, use of this technology by libraries will be of great help towards strengthening the relationship between the libraries and its users.
