Abstract

Field assisted electron emission from nanostructured carbon materials is becoming increasingly attractive. Various forms of nano carbons including, nano -diamond, carbon nanotubes, grapheme, nanostructured graphite, nano horns, nanocluster carbon, diamond like carbon [DLC],and tetrahedral amorphous carbon [ ta-C], have been shown to emit electrons at reasonably low fields .
