Abstract
Construction Contractors play a vital role in the documentation required for a green building as part of certification from LEED/IGBC. Often contractors refuse or fail to submit the sustainable related documents due to several issues and constrains such as increased cost of materials, missing specification in bill of quantities and lack of understanding the desired green requirements. This paper presents the hurdles faced in green industrial building documentation as part of IGBC submission for a gold rated building. Also the role and commitment of the distinct contactors which results in easy submission and attaining the certification has been addressed in the paper.
