Abstract

Demand for finding the balance between a growing economy & the need for environmental protection and social responsibilities in order to provide an improved quality of life for current and future generations has become a challenge. With the fast paced technical innovation & infrastructure growth , concern to address the energy-related crisis harming environment is being augmented.Meeting energy demand over the next century giving consideration to the ill health of mother earth is the key to the attention being drawn by sustainable practices. Sustainability addresses the requirement by not just helping either producing more or reduce energy exploitation, but also focuses on thought driven process at what & how we can produce much more efficiently meeting theconscious mindset for the environment.Construction being a major player of energy consuming sector, concern towards achieving Sustainability & Carbon neutral solution has become an mandate. Sustainability has become the keynote driving Organizations & developers towards sustainable economic growth targeting towards dramatically reducing the environmental impact of buildings. This paper is a review of the effectiveness of attaining economical scale of ‘going green”’ through a detailed study on the process of execution of sustainability principals in construction industry &understanding the concepts within the context of the project.
