Abstract
After the setting up of countless CCTVs and patrol units to prevent drivers from jumping red lights, coming up with a system that could automatically slow down and then stop the car once a red light is encountered seems like a much safer option. One of most important issue in research for unmanned ground vehicle is detecting signal lights at crossroads. This paper contains a compiled data of the system and its implementation on an experimental bot car. The car is controlled using an arduino board, and the image processing by using LabVIEW.
