Abstract

Salmonella are a rare cause of infective endocarditis.This report describes a case where Salmonella paratyphi a was isolated from the blood ofand bone marrow of patient with echocardiographically documented mitral vavlue prolapse and endocarditis. The patient was treated with ceftriaxone and gentamicin he made a complete recovery.
