Abstract

Today’s banking is known as Innovative banking. obalisation and liberalisation policies in India have given a new imension to the functioning of banks. Commercial banks are now more target oriented and are using innovative services to increase their profitability and number of customers. Application of IT enabled services, has seen tremendous rowth in the banking sector. Banks are offering their customers’ best services and efforts are made that ustomers do not need to visit to bank branches regularly, eventually motivating their customers to use banking services all time and any part of the country. Today customers are enjoying the banking facilities with ease and efficiency. In today’s competitive world challenges before banks are not only to have satisfied customers, but also to increase their business. In India Government also emphasising on financial inclusion and asking banks to reach to rural population so that services can be offered to larger population. This study tries to analyse the innovative services offered by various commercial banks and perception and satisfaction of customers towards these services. The study is a combination of primary and secondary data. Primary data is collected through a survey conducted in the district of Udupi and includes customers of various ommercial banks. The empirical findings not only determine the different parameters also provide guidelines to bankers to focus on the parameters on which they need to improve and spread the awareness of electronic banking products and services to each and every section of the society.
