Abstract
Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is the most common gastrointestinal emergency in the premature infant which remains a major health concern in the intensive care nursery and is an important cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality. We present an unusual case of a full term normal birth weight baby developing NEC at forty days of age.
