Abstract
The present study is on the performance of multi-outrigger structure subjectedto wind loads as per IS: 875(Part III)-1987. Theperformance of multi-outrigger structureis studied in terms of lateral displacem ent, storey drift, shearforce and bending momentin the core wall by varying therelative height of outrigger. Athree dimensional model ofa building has been developed using ETABSsoftware. An analysis has been done byvarying relative flexural rigidity (ratio of flex ral rigidity of the outrigger to the flexuralrigidity of core wall). Based on these results the most effici ent relative height is obtainedby comparing the structure withoutrigger to that of thestructure without outrigger.
