Abstract
Centellaasiatica (L.)belongs to the familyApiaceae (previously known as mbelliferae) is a perennial creeper, widely distributed throughout tropical and subtropical regions of World. The present study was carried out to evaluate the Invitroantioxidantactivity of hydro alcoholic extract of Centellaasiatica. ABTS [2, 2’-azinobis-(3- ethylbenzothiazoline -6-sulfonic acid)] free radical scavenging assay was employed to test antioxidant activity. The results indicate that the alcoholic extract exhibited significant antioxidant activity when compared standard drug L- Ascorbic acid.
