The advancement in internet, WWW and digital technologies have revolutionized the access to the scholarly information. The speed at which the information is getting generated and uploaded on the web has been realized by the libraries. They have started the concept of developing the open source libraries. A website/digital page similar to the library website of a library, where links to all important sites (subject to which library caters) will be provided. This collection can include open access journals, open e-books, downloadable open information, important links, etc. This kind of libraries saves the users time and even increase the number of resources available to search the information. The article highlights the building of an open source digital library and the content which can be provided through open source digital library. Information management is the basic goal of any library in order to provide a better service. In this regard the development of an open source digital library can be a better way to manage open source information.
