Abstract

Shear walls are specially designed structural walls which are incorporated in buildings to resist lateral forces that are produced in the plane of wall due to earthquake, wind and flexural members. This paper presents the study and comparison of the difference between the earthquake behavior of buildings with and without shear wall using STAAD.pro.
