Abstract

Electronics has changed greatly during recent decades, and some of its basic concepts are revisited time and again starting from mathematical, physical, and engineering aspects related to singular, mainly switching, systems. Since the field of such systems is very rich in content, a certain line of theoretical introduction to the field of the systems is very essential. The focus is on the conditions for a singular system to be linear. Singular systems are those the dynamics of which are governed by a mixture of algebraic and differential equations. Switched linear systems of the form Ex=Ax+Bu, y=Cẋ, with E singular. We study the concept of controllability and observability of switched singular systems by computing the transfer function matrix using Mehtod-Rachid algorithm.
