Abstract
Optical Interconnection Network designed for multicomputer systems has optical data path in parallel with electrical control/data path. The end-to–end optical data path is basically circuit switching and is used for transmission of long data messages. The electrical path is used for switch control and transmission of short data messages. This paper deals with such network architecture and communication protocols
