Abstract

In this paper, a novel method of designing a telemedicine system is presented. This approach aims at improving the diagnostic quality and increasing the interpretation of clinical observer through filtering of medical data. It includes the mutirate filtering of noisy ECG (Electrocardiogram) signal in the initial stage. It also focusses on reducing the storage space and transmission bandwidth by adopting efficient medical image compression scheme.
