Abstract

Skill-based training programs are more focused for a level of expertise at the end of the course or certifications. There are many manufacturing industries initiating certification, training programs, crash courses, but how far these are mature enough to provide expertise and skill-level is a question mark. A framework is necessary to evaluate/measure the maturity level of these programs. This paper discusses the results of literature review that was conducted to review the factors of the elearning environment that influence the learner’s skill development. It also presents the results of a pilot study conducted to measure the interpretations of the skill based training program environment on the factors listed after the review of literature.
