Abstract

The conventional and various advance control strategy design techniques were proposed for the Integrating processes with dead time for the better servo and regulatory response. It was observed that in all the proposed controller design techniques, it is difficult to limit the overshoot of the integrating processes and ultimately it has effect on the controller output. The survey reveals that the two degree of freedom (2DOF) of control structure will reduce the hike of the overshoot. In this paper the 2DOF controller synthesis is based on the multiple dominant pole method. The 2DOF controller synthesis and implementation were made for the stable process, integrating process and double integrating process and obtained the satisfactory responses compared to the other conventional and advance control strategies. This paper contributes the 2DOF controller design for the double integrating process with dead time
