Abstract

This paper deal with the design a PID controller with a desired phase margin for an unstable system using the D-curve method. The mathematical model of the Magnetic Levitation system was considered for the controller design with different choices during the design are compared and evaluated. Calculations were done using Maple and simulations and characteristics were acquired using MATLAB and Simulink for the mathematical model only.
