Abstract

The analysis of idiopathic scoliosis needs radiographic information in terms of spine curvature and vertebral rotation. The process and treatment analysis are depends on the reliability and reproducibility of the diagnosing system. The unsatisfactory reliability of this measurement related to relatively small magnitude of the measure as well as the difficulties with landmark identification due to the noisy nature of radiographs. Proposed systems automate the quantification of spinal curvature through image processing filters.
