Abstract

Modern libraries have been working out new strategies and approaches to managing the increased challenges due to the expanding range and number of e-Content collections in the library. The challenges of providing various forms of e-Content to the different groups of users by the library is gradually transforming from digital library model to cloud based e-Content providing model. Social networking, global connectivity, patron driven acquisition and cloud computing are the few new strategies that are redefining the role of librarian as well as library users. This paper discusses challenges and future strategies for modern libraries to provide seamless e-content to its users at the same time removing bottleneck of physical constraints as well as monitory constraints for gathering relevant resources.
