Abstract

Firms today are aiming to increase its workforce efficiency so as to reduce the rework and scrap thus focusing on delivering excellent quality at reasonable price. The firms are focusing on delighting the customers by reducing the lead time and providing excellent after sales service too. For any firm to reduce the rework or scrap and to provide excellent quality and quick delivery along with excellent service quality, having an efficient workforce with high morale is a must. This paper tries to establish a relationship between the quality of product and service, lead time and the efficiency of the workforce. A cause and effect relationship model has been developed using VENSIM PLE software and the relationship between the various dependent and independent variables are studied.
