Abstract
Different types of splints have been used to stabilize traumatized teeth. A splint is required for stabilisation to permit adequate healing. Some of these splints compromise the healing of teeth and surrounding dental tissues. However, appropriate immediate emergency management is vital to optimize the healing of supporting tissues and teeth to improve the prognosis. This article discusses the requirements of a splint and the immobilization period for the traumatized teeth.
