Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multi systemautoimmune disorder that predominantly affects young , women. While not all of the problems of pregnancy with lupus have been solved, pregnancies are possible and reasonable outcome can be anticipated if diagnosed timely arid managed properly. Once pregnancy has occurred the diagnosis of SLE may be missed, but if a high index of suspicion can be entertained for this rare disease, as the three case reports demonstrate; better treatment can be offered to the patient.
