Abstract

Color blind people are facing many challenges because of inability to differentiate similar colors. An application of image processing techniques for helping color blind to identify characters easily is presented in this paper. The objective of the proposed work is to detect the edges in the image so as to identify the characters easily. The proposed work is split into two parts, the first stage is to acquire image and second is processing of acquired image. For processing we have used two operations like color classification and edge detection programmed on LabVIEW platform. Output of the LabVIEW program will be the images whose colors are classified and edges are made clear. The program is tested for several test case and output shows the successful implementation of proposed technique
