Abstract

Thermal neutron capture cross section of 138Ba (n,γ)139Ba is measured by activation method using Am-Be neutron source facility. Cross section obtained from the measurement is 0.409±0.028 and it is estimated with reference to the thermal capture cross section of 55Mn (13.2 b). The result is compared with the previous measurements and evaluations available in literature.
