Abstract

Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) also known as hereditary enamel dysplasia, hereditary brown enamel or hereditary brown opalescent teeth is a relatively rare group of inherited disorders characterized by abnormal amelogenesisaffecting the structure and clinical appearance of enamel of all or nearly all the teeth in a more or less equal manner. Its main characteristics include the loss of tooth structure,compromised aesthetic appearance, and dentinal sensitivity. This article presents a case report of hypoplastic type of Amelogenesis Imperfecta in siblings with the pertaining literature review.
