Abstract
The application of communication protocols and wireless networking techniques are recent advancements for energy efficient implementation of automatic adaptive lighting control system. A review of communication protocols and wireless networking systems for lighting control is presented in this paper. The frame structure, communication methods, topologies, protocol stack architecture of standard protocols like DMX, DALI, KNX, CAN, ACN, BACnet, and ZigBee protocol for lighting control systems are discussed. Also the recent wireless sensor network technologies developing in the lighting control area is discussed. Simulations based on how to incorporate wireless technique for control signal transmission to driver circuit of LED also specified
