Bibliographic citation analysis of research papers, one of the methods of evaluating the usage of library subscribed journals was employed. A case study of usage of subscribed electronic journals of the KMC Health Sciences Library of Manipal University, Manipal was conducted through citation analysis. The study considered group-wise data (publisher-wise) of subscribed journals for convenience of analysis. A study of citation analysis of references from all types of research articles published from 2010 to 2013 by five health sciences institutions of Manipal campus of Manipal University, Viz., Kasturba Medical College (KMC), College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), College of Nursing (MCON), College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) and School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS) was conducted to assess the utilization of subscribed journals. Scopus citation database was used to retrieve citation details of the subscribed journals. Details of scholarly communications of the five health sciences institutions were retrieved using separate keywords. The study identified the cited journals in the research publications during the period between 2010 and 2013 from among the subscribed journals through the citation analysis. The study also discovered non-cited journals year-wise and the journals that were not cited in scholarly publications from 2010 to 2013.
