African histoplasmosis due to Histoplasma capsulatum var. duboisii is by far more common in primary cutaneous histoplasmosis than the disseminated or generalized form of histoplasmosis owing to H. capsulatum var. capsulatum. Collection of right specimens and prior communication to the mycologist so as to facilitate setting up of the necessary culture methods and condition aids in the prompt and accurate lab diagnosis of many of the indolent agents involved with mycetoma and chromoblastomycoses with their enhanced recovery
