Abstract

Banks are changing the ways of their operational activities by adopting new technologies. Internet banking eases and accelerate banking & financial undertakings. It offers various services and products. Internet banking helps bank customers to do their banking and financial activity flexibly as per their need and ease. In present technological era everyone wants to become more technocrat. In spite of that bank customers are in dilemma and they hesitate to move towards adoption of new technologies. Hesitation and dilemma of customers are based perceptual thoughts of customer and related factors. It is important to find all relevant factors that acts as major barriers towards adoption of internet banking. It provides many facilities, benefits, product & services. In spite of that banks are not capable to get probable number of customers and it is also difficult to retain them. It is significant to identify the barriers behind less adoption of Internet Banking (IB) among customers for success of latest banking technology. A number of customers remain stuck to conduct banking and financial activities via traditional methods. It is important to find various facts that effect acceptance and refusal of internet banking technologies. Findings of this study indicated that users of internet banking and non-users of internet banking both have some common and some uncommon factors related to barriers to adopt internet banking. Security, privacy and proper training not offered by banks to use internet banking are few important common barriers to adopt internet banking.
