Abstract
In human anatomy the superior mesenteric artery arises from the anterior surface of the abdominal aorta, just inferior to the origin of the coeliac trunk supplying the lower part of the duodenum, jejunum, Ileum, Pancreas, Large intestine upto right 2/3rd of transverse colon. Usually superior mesenteric artery gives many separatebranches. In this present study the Superior Mesenteric Artery gives anomalous single trunk giving 3 branches - Middle colic, Accessory middle colic and Right colic artery.
