Abstract

The travel industry is undergoing rapid growth over the past decades. It mostly due to the rapid growth for attracting tourist from around the world. Also due to the technology advancement people feel the rush to explore new boundaries. Some countries also have an ease in visa policies which unable the traveller to travel hassle free. But some countries have a rigid policies of entering their country, so the travel and tour operator play an important for sorting out issue. The traveller also rely on them due to their large network and flawless services. The tour operator also customise the best package for the traveller. This is done so that the traveller just sit back and relax the service provided by the tour operator. Cost is also not high as the travel operators enter into contract with the suppliers and both benefit from it. Now a days people only look for brand because they know the operators will not take them for a ride. Transparency is also maintained by such travel companies.The tour operators also have to set market trends according to age group, culture, type of travel, power of spending, etc. It is essential to know the travel pattern and trend so that the tour operators can cater to the market accordingly. It is said that a good market study can lead to various opportunities and growth. The travel agents have also a code sharing facilities wherein all the data of the travellers is shared amongst one another. They have these facilities when the travellers are willing tom travel on a particular date but the tour operators are booked so they refer to another tour operator hence sharing some amount of profits.Due to the customers awareness the tour operators have to create a solid brand image in the eyes of the customer. Also customer look upon the tour operators as a source wherein they do all the paperwork behalf of them.Travelling to places might be costlier and would not be feasible for an individual to look for individual rates and pricing. Hence, the tour operators play a major role. Tour operators assist the clients or tourist and give them the final package and the costing about the same. Hence making it easier to travel to place.Due to these reasons the tour operators have to have a contact with the suppliers wherein they can enter into a contract and hence the rates are decided accordingly. Due to these contract the rates are prefixed and then the profit margins are decided accordingly.The evolution of eth tour operating industry was a significant on wherein all the tour operators decided to have a brand image and to cater to the tourists. The tourists are also delighted due to the evolution because all of eth procedures and paperwork is being done under one roof itself.The tour operating sector is now and organised sector. The improvement have made some of the brand well renowned in the global market.
