Abstract

A study was conducted in Udupi & Mangalore to know the Beliefs & Perception of the players playing on-line lottery. The work was done with the objectives: To study the prediction and projection of current behavior of lotto players and To identify the effect of factors like age, gender education, income and occupation on the behavior of players as perceived by the respondents. The data analysis revealed that 73.68% male respondents feel that On-line lotteries have a major impact on financial aspect, whereas female feel that On-line lotteries have a direct influence on Relationship. The study revealed a significant relationship between educational status and frequency, preference, players marking the numbers whereas there is no significant relationship between educational status and investment pattern and spending pattern. The basic occupation has a significant relationship with the frequency, preference of the players playing online lotto, whereas the occupation has no significant relationship with marking of the numbers, investment pattern and spending pattern
