The thesis is divided into two main parts. The �rst part deals with distance related properties of graphs and the second part deals with matrix related properties of graphs. The (2; 2) bipartiteness of graphs which are analogous to (1; 1) bipartiteness is de�ned, characterized and all the related results are given in the second The graphs G and H for which the product of the adjacency matrices A(G)A(H) is graphical is de�ned and characterized in the third chapter. The properties of matrix product of graphs are also studied. Consequently, the matrix product of regular graph G for which A(G)A(G) is graphical, is studied. Using the idea of matrix product of graphs, characterizations and properties of the graphs for which the product of adjacency matrices under modulo-2 is graphical, is studied in the fourth chapter.chapter.
