Abstract

The thesis is divided into two main parts. The rst part deals with distance related properties of graphs and the second part deals with matrix related properties of graphs. The (2; 2) bipartiteness of graphs which are analogous to (1; 1) bipartiteness is dened, characterized and all the related results are given in the second The graphs G and H for which the product of the adjacency matrices A(G)A(H) is graphical is dened and characterized in the third chapter. The properties of matrix product of graphs are also studied. Consequently, the matrix product of regular graph G for which A(G)A(G) is graphical, is studied. Using the idea of matrix product of graphs, characterizations and properties of the graphs for which the product of adjacency matrices under modulo-2 is graphical, is studied in the fourth chapter.chapter.
