The corrosion behavior of commercial sample of aluminium was investigated in hydrochloric acid medium of concentrations 0.001M–1.0 M in the temperature range of 30°C–50°C, by electrochemical techniques. The surface morphology of the corroded sample was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The corrosion rate increased with the increase in the concentration of acid. Corrosion rate increased with temperature when the concentration of acid was 0.001M and 0.01M. For the acid concentrations from 0.1M to 1.0M corrosion rate decreased with temperature. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for corrosion processes were calculated and discussed in detail. Mechanism of corrosion behavior under experimental condition was given. The results from the two techniques were in good agreement
