Designing a vehicle suspension system requires optimizing the trade-off between ride-quality and handling performance. Controlling the relative position and motion between the vehicles body and the wheels is to reduce the effects of variations in the road profile. The subjective nature of suspension system performance lends itself to the use of a heuristically developed fuzzy controller. The main objective of this paper is to propose a new active suspension system for passenger cars, using suspension deflection of the vehicle body as the principal criterion of control, and fuzzy logic control as the complementary control
