Abstract

Cloud computing is one of the hottest topics and security is an important aspect of cloud computing. In cloud computing, user’s data is stored on remote servers which may be operated by others and can be accessed through Internet connection. There are high chances that the data may be compromised. Hence confidentiality of data becomes a serious issue. Confidentiality refers to the prevention of the unauthorized access of the data and hence making sure that only the user who has the permission can access the data. This is one of the important features of security. In this paper, we do a study of the issues related to confidentiality in cloud computing and also briefly discuss idea behind some approaches to preserve, enhance the confidentiality and thus ensuring the cloud security
