Three Phase Induction Motors are widely used in industrial utilities for a variety of purposes. In most cases, induction motor loads dominate all other loads in the plant as in the case of printing press and packaging units. Therefore the electricity bill of the utility is now totally dependent on the performance of the motor driven loads. This paper looks into the various deviations that occur and its effects, in motor operating parameters like efficiency, power factor, total losses etc, when the three phase supply deviates from the ideal values.
