Abstract

This paper deals with the analysis and verification of tracking the maximum power point of solar photovoltaic power curve based on incremental conductance algorithm. For the modeling of PV system and DC/DC converter the general characteristic equations of the system were taken into consideration. This paper deals with the simulation and analysis of boost converter for a prototype of 1.7 kW PV system. The incremental conductance algorithm with the modeled converter is used for drawing maximum power from the input sources. The modeling and simulation is done using MATLAB/Simulik and results are compared with theoretical value.
