The primary objective of the project is to develop a LabVIEW based Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) Application Software, to implement Real-Time PID Algorithms on Process Control Stations and to understand different Protocols used for Real-Time interfacing and employ them for Communication between PC and the Controller. Secondary objective is to develop experiment modules based on the created application for the laboratories. Herein, the various process control stations namely Level Control Trainer, Flow Control Trainer, Pressure Control Trainer etc. are controlled via application software on a PC. This is done by establishing a connection between the software on the PC and the process control station through a USB port. The PID control algorithms like P, PI, PID, Open loop, Closed loop algorithms etc. are used to achieve this purpose.
