Abstract

The aim of this study is to compare the two different intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) optimization techniques namely Direct Step and Shoot (DSS) and Intensity Modulation (1M) available in Oncentra Master plan (version 4.3) treatment planning system (TPS) for the treatment of Breast cancer. The objective is to investigate the tumour dose coverage as well as the dose to other involved organs at risk such as heart, lungs and contralateral breast.
