Abstract
A Green Building can be defined as one which optmises energy efficiency, uses green energy like sunlight,utilizes less water, creates less waste and provides healthier space for occupants as compared to ordinary general building.There ia a large number of studies on Green Buildings.The paper reports a review of present research related to green building in general,printing industry in particular. The general theme and methodology are studied.Most of the studies are on environmental aspect of the green building.Most of the present study are on how to create Green building ,benefits of Green building over conventional buildings.Social Sustainibility is overlooked.Future scope of studies of Green Buildings are identified ,such as effects of climatic conditions on the effectiveness of green buildings,building for defined population,and validation of real performance of green buildings.
