Abstract

Hemodynamics play an important role in the development of cardiovascular disorders like atherosclerosis and stroke. For precise prediction and control of these disorders, hemodynamic forces must be studied[1]. A comparative study is performed between Newtonian and a non – Newtonian blood viscosity model and is simulated for two cases. (i) idealized, concentrically stenosed carotid artery, (ii) a patient specific right carotid artery
