Abstract
The responses of an intze tank with unbraced staging, inclined bracing (single-inclined brace and cross brace) at alternate levels of staging and inclined bracing throughout the height of staging have been compared. The models have been analysed in accordance with the draft of IS 1893 (part 2) using the finite element software STAAD.Pro. The displacement of the tank reduced significantly when the staging had inclined braces. The study also found that the position of the inclined bracing in the staging (with and without bracing at ground level) had a considerable effect on the response of the tank
