Information Technology is changing the world at a remendous speed. The 21st century has clearly witnessed that change. The information revolution and electronic resources have created new challenges for library professionals. This has necessitated the change of role of librarian from traditional to modern. Creating a web log is a necessary skill that is required for a modern librarian. In web log one can publish the feature of his library to reach his customers. Libraries could provide links to blogs through home pages of their institutes for improved access of content. In this paper an attempt is made to explain blog, steps to create a blog and benefits of blog, etc. Other skills required for a modern library professional is also touched upon.
